Hardware, collecting, and playing guides for PlayStation 2.
A PlayStation 2 collection can be a stack of favorite sports games, a shelf of role-playing adventures, or simply one machine ready for a weekend with friends. Start by choosing the games you want to play and then work backward to the hardware. Model number, regional compatibility, memory cards, controller condition, and the television connection all matter more than a seller’s claim that a console is the best version. Our PS2 section concentrates on those practical decisions. It also leaves room for the strange accessories, memorable packaging, and glorious menu screens that make the era enjoyable to revisit. Browse the setup checklist first, compare the console reference record, and use the general collecting guides when evaluating a complete-in-box purchase.
