Corrections Policy
Report a factual error and understand how Joking Joystick handles corrections and updates.
A useful reference should become more accurate when better evidence arrives. If you find an error in a Joking Joystick article or Guide entry, use the contact form and put “Correction” in the subject.
What to include
Send the page URL, the specific statement or field in question, the proposed correction, and the strongest source you can provide. For edition or packaging issues, identify the platform, region, and release rather than relying on a title alone. Avoid sending personal information unrelated to the issue.
How we assess a report
We compare the claim with the supplied evidence and other relevant sources. A manufacturer’s manual, original checklist, official announcement, or clearly documented original item can be especially useful. If sources conflict, the page may need a qualification or an explicit uncertainty rather than a simple replacement.
A correction report does not automatically establish that either the original statement or the proposed replacement is correct. We may request clarification, and we do not promise a fixed response time.
How changes should appear
Material factual corrections should carry a visible note explaining what changed. Routine spelling, formatting, or broken-link repairs may be made without a separate correction notice when they do not alter the meaning. Substantial new information should be reflected in the updated date and, where useful, an update note.
If a central premise cannot be supported, the article may need substantial revision or removal, with an explanation appropriate to the issue. Commercial relationships do not exempt a page from correction. The same standard applies to AI-assisted launch material.
