Logan’s wardrobe in Marvel’s Wolverine is as broad as his comic-book history: battle gear, leather jackets, animated throwbacks, alternate-future armor, and several outfits that make a white tuxedo somehow seem like a reasonable choice for a man with retractable claws. The standard game includes 27 suits and 22 claw options, while the Digital Deluxe Edition adds five more suits and five associated claw sets.

This is not a level-up reward track. Mission progression opens much of the collection, but many outfits must then be crafted with materials found in mission Material Crates. Others sit behind collectible completion or demanding Gauntlet Nightmare Trial ratings. A few suit names and unlock conditions naturally brush close to story progression, so readers avoiding all possible spoilers should be careful around the later-mission entries.

Every suit and claw option is cosmetic in combat, but suit crafting has one meaningful progression benefit: expanding the collection raises Wolverine’s maximum health, eventually reaching double the base amount. That makes Material Crates worth tracking down even for players who would otherwise be happy keeping Logan in a tank top forever. Missed crates are not permanently lost; missions can be replayed, and there are enough materials in the game to craft every eligible suit.

Most outfits can be paired with almost any unlocked claw style. The two exceptions are the Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls and Animated costumes, whose matching claws are locked to their respective suits. Certain story missions can also temporarily prescribe a particular appearance.

For a completion-friendly route, keep an eye out for both crates and whiskey bottles during replays. The latter lead to one of the game’s standout comic-inspired rewards; see our Marvel’s Wolverine whiskey bottle locations guide for the full collectible path.

Starting suits and early crafting unlocks

  • Team X Tactical: Available from the start, alongside standard Adamantium Claws. It is a black, military-styled outfit with yellow webbing influenced by Team X imagery.
  • Tank Top: Also available immediately. The white vest and jeans combination is one of Logan’s most recognizable off-duty looks across comics and films.
  • Battle Reborn: Craft for 75 materials during Homecoming. This is the game’s yellow-and-black interpretation of Wolverine’s famous cowled costume.
  • Gold Standard: Craft for 75 materials during Homecoming, unlocking Bone Claws with it. The yellow-and-blue design takes inspiration from an Astonishing X-Men look, including an X-Men belt detail.

The One That Got Away and Something Stronger rewards

At the beginning of The One That Got Away, several 150- and 200-material costumes enter the crafting pool. This is also when the pre-order Classic Brown bonus, if owned, becomes available.

  • Fang: Costs 150 materials and includes Savage Bone Claws. Its roots are in Uncanny X-Men #107, where Wolverine wears the costume after defeating its alien owner, Fang.
  • Old Man Logan: Costs 150 materials and includes Savage Bone Claws. Expect the weathered Wolverine presentation and long brown coat associated with the character’s older incarnations.
  • Ultimate Red: Costs 150 materials and comes with Hooked Claws. It reflects the newer Ultimate Universe version in which Wolverine operates as the Winter Soldier.
  • Ablation: Costs 200 materials and supplies Notched Claws. The orange-leaning armored design recalls the suit Wolverine used after losing access to his healing factor and claws in the comics.
  • Classic Brown: A pre-order bonus, with Reflective Claws. This beloved brown costume debuted in Uncanny X-Men #139.
  • Weapon X: Craft it for 200 materials at the start of Something Stronger; it includes Curved Claws. The design reworks the experimental apparatus associated with Logan’s forced transformation into a brainwashed weapon.
  • Future Past: Unlocks automatically at the start of Something Stronger. Jeans, a gray henley, and a fleece-lined brown coat evoke Wolverine’s Days of Future Past comic styling.

Mission-progress suits through Get Angry

One Last Mission unlocks Dressed Down, a red flannel-and-jeans outfit with a distinctly lumberjack-like flavor. Jetlag follows with the automatically unlocked Leather Jacket, pairing casual flannel and denim with a black jacket. It is not tied to one clearly specified comic costume, but the overall look fits Logan neatly.

At the start of Get Angry, four more craftable suits arrive:

Related coverage includes Marvel's Wolverine: Every Suit, Claw Set, and Unlock Requirement.

  • X-Force: 200 materials, plus Angular Claws. The dark black-ops uniform comes from Wolverine’s X-Force identity.
  • Blue & Gold: 200 materials, plus Thin Claws. This references the X-Men training uniform made by Moira MacTaggert in Uncanny X-Men #273.
  • Ultimate Yellow: 200 materials, plus Crescent Claws. It is the black combat suit with yellow elements seen in Uncanny X-Men #423 and subsequently associated with Ultimate Wolverine for a time.
  • Accursed: 250 materials, plus Natural Bone Claws. This sleeveless black Madripoor design, complete with red belt and dark face paint, stems from Marvel Comics Presents #8.

Arcade, late-game, and collectible suits

When entering the arcade during In the Shadows, players can craft Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls for 300 materials. Its cel-shaded presentation comes from the 2026 fighting game, and its Fightin’ Souls Claws are exclusive to that suit.

Way Down Low adds three choices: Black Tank for 250 materials, with Ragged Adamantium Claws; Yellow Variant for 250 materials, with Variant Claws; and Animated for 200 materials. Black Tank appears to be an original riff on the starting casual look, while Yellow Variant adapts Wolverine’s costume from 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine. Animated draws from the classic animated series and X-Men ’97; its Animated Claws cannot be equipped elsewhere.

Patch unlocks automatically with Roll The Dice. It celebrates Logan’s Madripoor alias with the white tuxedo and eyepatch established in Marvel Comics Presents #10. At the start of I’m Still Here, Feral becomes craftable for 300 materials, reflecting the game’s wilder early portrayal of Wolverine.

Collect all whiskey bottles to earn Midnight and its Scarlet Claws. The black armor with red elements is drawn from Midnight Suns #4, rather than the black-and-gold game outfit from Marvel’s Midnight Suns.

Gauntlet Nightmare Trials and full-mission completion

The three Gauntlet Nightmare Trials provide individual claw rewards at Silver rank: Flat-Edged Claws for Last Stand at Cold Pines, Gold Claws for Crucible of Tears, and Diamond Claws for Savage Showdown. Flat-Edged Claws appear to be an original design. Gold Claws reference Adamantine, the divine metal connected to stories where Hercules gives James Howlett the material. Diamond Claws may simply be a lavish original reward, though they have a loose thematic cousin in Diamond Patch from Infinity Wars.

Earn Gold in all three trials for Future Fugitive and Techno-Organic Claws. The glowing circuitry-like stripes come from Omega Wolverine’s infection with the Phalanx techno-organic virus in X Deaths of Wolverine. Reach Adamantium rank in all three to unlock Hellverine and Charred Bone Claws, inspired by the demon Bagra-ghul’s possession of Wolverine.

Finally, completing every mission unlocks Death, modeled after Wolverine’s appearance as Apocalypse’s Horseman of Death in Astonishing X-Men #1. It is a fitting wardrobe capstone for players willing to see the campaign through.

Digital Deluxe Edition suits

The five Digital Deluxe outfits all unlock at the start of The One That Got Away. Each brings a dedicated claw design:

  • Age of Apocalypse: Thick Claws; the black-and-red Weapon-X look from the alternate timeline, including the missing left hand.
  • Incredible: Smooth-Edged Claws; Wolverine’s first-appearance costume from The Incredible Hulk #180.
  • New Leather: Tapered Claws; a black leather style with yellow X-Men touches, resembling the New X-Men #114-era outfit and early-2000s film aesthetics.
  • Savage: Hollow Blade Claws; an original suit designed for the game by comic artist Adam Kubert.
  • Night Hunt: Serrated Spine Claws; another game-original design, created by comic artist Iban Coello.

Players chasing the whole wardrobe should prioritize crate collection while progressing, clear the 21 whiskey bottles, then return to the Gauntlet trials for their Silver, Gold, and Adamantium targets.
