Wii

The story

Wii is Nintendo’s home console associated with motion controls and the Wii Remote. Nintendo’s history places its introduction in 2006; launch dates differ by region, so this reference does not supply a universal date.

The model number matters. Nintendo distinguishes the original RVL-001, later RVL-101, and Wii mini. GameCube software and accessory support should only be expected from the appropriate original model.

A usable secondhand setup needs the correct power and video equipment, sensor bar, and controllers required by the chosen games. Do not assume every accessory in a bundle is necessary or tested. Verify each function you intend to use and consult the operations manual for safe placement and controller handling.

Choose the model by required features, not color. Confirm game-specific controller requirements and treat downloadable software ownership separately from hardware.

Common problems

For a used purchase, request a demonstration of game loading, controller response, picture, sound, and saving. An untested function is not confirmed working.
