A targeted fix for Gran Turismo 7

KytyPS5 build KytyPS5-2026-10-22-f5f4e7d changed sceUsbdGetDeviceList so it returns an empty device list. The release note associates this adjustment with Gran Turismo 7.

The notes do not describe a broader USB feature, other affected games, performance results or the underlying issue. The documented change is therefore a focused compatibility adjustment rather than evidence of general USB-device support.

Several builds are included in the update

This consolidated update covers KytyPS5-2026-10-22-86fed10, KytyPS5-2026-10-22-f5f4e7d, KytyPS5-2026-10-22-79837b4 and the newest KytyPS5-2026-10-23-719c443 package. Only the f5f4e7d entry lists a specific change; the other release notes refer to full changelogs without describing individual fixes.

The newest package was published on October 23, 2026, at 06:33 UTC. Download archives are provided for Windows x64, Linux x86_64 and macOS x86_64. KytyPS5 is in active development, and its documentation warns that compatibility, stability and performance can vary between builds.

What KytyPS5 does

KytyPS5 is an open-source PlayStation 5 translation layer for desktop computers. It supports Windows and Linux, with experimental macOS support, and uses Vulkan 1.3 for graphics rendering. The project says it can boot 2D and 3D games made with Unreal Engine 4 or 5, Unity and custom engines, while development focuses on game compatibility and boot reliability.

Windows and Linux are the primary target platforms and receive the most testing. macOS builds target x86-64 and run through Rosetta 2 on Apple Silicon, with Vulkan supplied by MoltenVK. Compatibility is not uniform across games, and the project warns that users may encounter crashes or graphical glitches.

Using the packaged builds

The launcher can search configured game folders recursively for directories containing eboot.bin, as well as ZArchive files whose archive root contains eboot.bin. ZArchive dumps can be mounted read-only and streamed without first being extracted.

Official release builds include an updater that checks for new packages, verifies their SHA-256 checksums and installs updates while preserving settings, saves, patches and other files outside the release package. Running games should be closed before updating, and the installation directory must be writable.

KytyPS5 does not distribute games or copyrighted system software. Users should provide only game files they have obtained legally.

Platform requirements and project status

The documented system requirements include Windows 10 version 1803, a current Linux distribution, or macOS on Apple Silicon with Rosetta 2. A Vulkan 1.3-capable GPU and current graphics drivers are required; on macOS, MoltenVK provides the Vulkan layer.

KytyPS5 remains a rapidly changing project rather than a fixed compatibility solution. Users reporting problems are asked to include the exact build they tested, since behavior can change significantly between releases.
