A curated Nintendo Switch homebrew pack
HATS, short for Homebrew App Tools & Store, is a curated distribution for Nintendo Switch homebrew users. The latest build, HATS-2026-10-13-63eaf7b, lists support for firmware versions up to 23.0.1 and bundles essential components, homebrew applications, patches, payloads and Tesla overlays.
The essential section contains Atmosphere 1.12.0 and Hekatos 6.5.4. Other bundled applications include Cyberfoil, DBI English (Unofficial), Goldleaf, HATS-Tools, JKSV, Linkalho, NxThemeInstaller, Sphaira, Switch 90DNS Tester, Tinfoil and Tinwoo Installer. HATS combines these separate projects in a single distribution rather than replacing their individual functions.
Five bundled projects receive version updates
The changelog lists updates for five components. Cyberfoil moves from 1.4.6 to 1.5.0, FPSLocker from 3.4.0 to 3.5.0, HATS-Tools from 1.7.2 to 1.7.3, SaltyNX from 2.0.0 to 2.1.2, and Sphaira from 1.0.7 to 1.0.8.
The release notes identify these version changes but do not describe individual features, fixes or performance improvements. The other manifest entries remain listed at their stated versions, including MissionControl 0.16.0, ldn_mitm 1.22.0, nx-ovlloader 2.0.3 and Sys-patch 1.6.2.3.
The package also includes Tesla overlays such as Edizon Overlay, FPSLocker, QuickNTP, Status Monitor Overlay, Sysmodules Overlay, Ultrahand Overlay, emuiibo and sys-clk. Its payload section contains FuseCheck, KitNX, Lockpick_RCM_Pro, ProdinForge, TegraExplorer-Ext and Warmboot-Extractor. These are components for a Nintendo Switch homebrew setup, not software for a PC emulator or an emulated console.
Firmware 23.0.0 users receive a serious networking warning
HATS marks this build as a pre-release because of a reported DNS man-in-the-middle issue on Firmware 23.0.0. The warning says that a 90DNS Tester result showing “Blocked” should not be treated as proof that all system connections are blocked. It reports that connections may still reach Nintendo servers, including for background game updates, even when DNS interception rules are loaded.
The release warning says this creates a serious ban risk for users running an emuMMC with unofficial or pirated content if those connections leak. Anyone who chooses to use the pack on Firmware 23.0.0 is instructed to turn off Wi-Fi or enable Airplane Mode and remain completely offline until the issue has been fixed and verified.
The same warning says systems that have not been updated to Firmware 23.0.0 are not affected by this specific issue and can use the pack normally. HATS still labels this particular build as a pre-release and advises using it at the user’s own risk.
Included files and build details
The manifest groups the package into essential components, homebrew apps, patches, payloads and Tesla overlays. The patches section includes Disable remap dialog, MissionControl, SaltyNX, Theme-Patches, ldn_mitm and nx-ovlloader. The package also lists sys-clk base files alongside the sys-clk overlay.
The build was generated with HATSKit Pro Builder 2.0.2-GUI. Its exact tag is HATS-2026-10-13-63eaf7b, and the supplied release includes a ZIP asset. The release notes do not provide installation steps, detailed changelogs for the five updated projects or performance measurements.
