What’s Well Dweller about?
Well Dweller is a dark fairy-tale metroidvania that blends platforming, role-playing and adventure. Its setting is a wretched kingdom populated by charming characters, creating a contrast between storybook appeal and a grim central conflict. The player controls Glimmer, a tiny bird whose modest size and unusual weapon make the quest feel like an underdog struggle from the outset.
Armed with a matchstick, Glimmer must confront the wicked queen in an effort to save his family. Exploration and platforming form the foundation of the journey, while the metroidvania structure points toward a connected world built around discovery and progression. The game’s identity rests on that distinctive mixture of dark fantasy, characterful inhabitants and a small hero carrying a very literal spark of resistance.
