What’s Tanuki: Pon's Summer about?
Tanuki: Pon’s Summer is a single-player simulator about Pon, a well-meaning but somewhat lazy tanuki balancing a part-time postal job with an important seasonal responsibility. With the Tanuki Festival only a month away, the local shrine needs to be restored before summer ends.
Players deliver packages, spend time with the people they meet, and help prepare the shrine for its celebration. These everyday activities give the game a gentle, community-focused structure, with progress tied to both completing deliveries and building friendships. Pon’s task is modest in scale but personally meaningful: turning a neglected shrine into a fitting centerpiece for the approaching festival.
