What’s Dreadmoor about?
Dreadmoor combines role-playing, simulation, and adventure elements in a Lovecraftian fishing journey across a post-nuclear-apocalyptic world. Fishing is more than a peaceful pastime: the waters and forgotten lands are inhabited by monsters, and ancient secrets lie beneath the remains of a damaged civilization. The setting places everyday survival alongside cosmic unease.
Players can sell their catch, improve their boat, and build equipment to prepare for increasingly dangerous expeditions. Encounters take place both on water and on land, turning each journey into a balance between gathering resources, upgrading gear, and facing hostile creatures. As a single-player experience, Dreadmoor ties its progression systems to exploration, letting the search for a better livelihood lead deeper into the world’s mysteries.
