What’s Squadron 42 about?
Squadron 42 is a cinematic, single-player space adventure combining shooter action, flight simulation, and character-driven storytelling. You take the role of a rookie combat pilot serving with the UEE Navy’s celebrated 42nd Squadron. The campaign begins amid the Events of Vega II and places you aboard the UEES Stanton, a capital ship assigned to a fleet operating in the Odin system.
Gameplay moves between space combat and ground-based encounters, with dogfights transitioning into direct confrontations. Between missions, you interact with the ship’s crew and build relationships within a living military environment. The campaign centers on an escalating conflict involving a dangerous pirate threat and several powerful factions, placing your character on the front lines of a wider interstellar war. Customization and performance-captured character scenes support its emphasis on personal drama as well as high-fidelity action.
