Silent Planet: Elegy of a Dying World is a single-player exploration-focused platform adventure steeped in cosmic horror. You play as Apranik, who travels to the planet Thulcandra in search of the Angel’s Egg, an ancient artifact believed to be the source of all life in the universe. The mission leads into the remains of a dead civilization and a world shaped by forgotten catastrophe.
The game unfolds as a dark side-scroller through the claustrophobic corridors of a vast underground complex. These passages contain the remnants of technological and biological horrors created by the vanished civilization, making exploration inseparable from danger and discovery. Its atmosphere is driven less by open expanses than by confinement, ruin, and the gradual uncovering of what happened beneath the planet’s surface. Platforming and adventure elements frame a journey focused on investigation within an oppressive, alien environment.
