What’s Mariachi Legends about?
Mariachi Legends is a single-player action-adventure Metroidvania built around mystery, supernatural danger, and Mexican Day of the Dead imagery. You play Pablo Cruz, a detective who disguises himself as a mariachi musician while investigating an evil curse threatening the otherwise peaceful town of Santa Mascota. His case soon expands beyond the living world when Lady Death recruits him to recover an amulet capable of weakening her control over the Realm of the Dead.
Armed with La Sombra and a mariachi suit carrying supernatural abilities, Pablo ventures into the underworld to confront legendary mariachi figures and their minions. Exploration and combat are central to the journey, with the Metroidvania structure suggesting a connected world shaped by discovery and access to new powers. Its blend of folkloric atmosphere, detective framing, platforming, and otherworldly action gives the adventure a distinct identity.
