What’s Dressmaker about?

Dressmaker is a cozy single-player simulation game inspired by the practical process of making clothing. Players take on the role of a dressmaker and work through the stages needed to create garments, beginning with selecting a design and choosing how the finished piece should come together. The focus is on hands-on preparation rather than a conventional combat or adventure structure.

The core activities include cutting fabric and sewing the pieces together, turning a chosen pattern into a completed dress. Customers then provide the context for this work: the goal may be to satisfy their requests, but the game also allows players to sabotage them. That mischievous option gives the otherwise comforting craft simulation a playful edge, making each order an opportunity either to serve clients or deliberately undermine their expectations.
