Vita3K Build 4139 is now available

Vita3K’s latest continuous build is Build 4139, corresponding to commit 9bd372fabf09c4c5386b18757170333cb97cc991. It was published on October 8, 2026, at 11:31 UTC.

This is a rolling development build rather than a stable release. Its release notes provide the build number and commit only, with no specific feature, compatibility or bug-fix details. Build 4139 is therefore best understood as the newest development snapshot, not as a release with a documented list of changes.

Packages cover desktop and Android users

The release includes an Android APK, Windows archives for x86-64 and ARM64, macOS disk images for Intel and Apple silicon, and Linux downloads for x86-64 and ARM64. Linux users can choose between ZIP archives and AppImage packages where available.

The files include android-latest.apk, windows-latest.zip, windows-arm64-latest.zip, macos-latest.dmg, macos-arm64-latest.dmg, ubuntu-latest.zip and ubuntu-aarch64-latest.zip. The release also provides Vita3K-x86_64.AppImage and Vita3K-aarch64.AppImage packages, together with Zsync files for those AppImage builds.

An experimental PlayStation Vita emulator

Vita3K emulates the PlayStation Vita on Windows, Linux, macOS and Android. Its project documentation says the emulator currently runs most homebrew programs and commercial games, while warning that users should expect crashes, glitches, limited compatibility and poor performance because the project remains in an early stage.

The software runs Vita applications on supported Windows, Linux, macOS and Android hosts; it is not software for installation on a modified Vita console. Compatibility varies by title, and the project maintains separate compatibility information for homebrew and commercial games.

Documented requirements vary by platform

Windows users need the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015–2022 Redistributable. Linux installations require xdg-desktop-portal and working OpenGL or Vulkan runtime libraries. The project also recommends keeping graphics drivers up to date.

On Android, the project lists Adreno drivers among its documented requirements. The README also points users to a quickstart guide for checking minimum requirements before running the emulator.

What to expect from this build

Because the release notes identify only the build number and corresponding commit, there is no supported basis for attributing a new feature, performance improvement or game-specific fix to Build 4139. Users tracking Vita3K’s development can use this package to follow the newest continuous build across the supported host platforms.

Vita3K is licensed under GPLv2. The project’s documentation directs users toward game dumps and homebrew software obtained through appropriate means, and notes that the emulator is not affiliated with or endorsed by Sony.
