CD32 emulation receives the main update
UAE4ALL2 HD Switch 1.07 focuses on Amiga CD32 support. The release fixes CD32 operation and CD32 savestates, addressing two important parts of using the emulated 32-bit Amiga console.
A new CD32 status bar is also included. The release notes list additional bug fixes without specifying the affected areas.
New presets simplify configuration
Version 1.07 adds an Amiga CD32 preset and restores the missing Amiga Custom (Custom ROM) preset. These options provide dedicated configurations for CD32 software and custom-ROM setups.
The project supports Amiga 500, Amiga 500+, Amiga 600, Amiga 1200 with AGA graphics, and Amiga CD32 hardware. CD32 software can be loaded from ISO, BIN/CUE, or compressed CHD disc images. The emulator also supports floppy images, WHDLoad packages, hard-disk files, and directory-mounted volumes.
What the Switch edition provides
UAE4ALL2 HD Switch is a Nintendo Switch homebrew Amiga emulator. It provides a game library for supported Amiga software and configuration options for different emulated machines, controller mapping, display output, and save states.
The emulator uses legally obtained Kickstart ROM files for the selected Amiga configuration. CD32 software specifically requires the appropriate CD32 Kickstart and extended ROM files. Those ROMs are separate from the emulator package and are not supplied by the project.
Alongside its CD32 support, the software includes five save-state slots per game with screenshot previews, multi-disk playlists, WHDLoad support, and compatibility with ADF, HDF, LHA, ISO, BIN/CUE, and CHD formats. Its optional Picasso96/UAEGFX support is intended for Amiga software that explicitly uses RTG graphics; ordinary OCS, ECS, AGA, and CD32 software continues to use its normal emulated video path.
