Broader PS5 Pro firmware coverage
ps5-linux-loader v2026.11.03-all10-13-pro adds PS5 Pro GPU firmware offsets for firmware 11.00, 11.20, 11.40, 11.60, all supported 12.x versions, and 13.40 and 13.42. Firmware 13.20 and 13.60 retain their existing offsets. The update is intended to let the Pro GPU firmware dump run across the remaining supported versions.
The release also adds a KIT_RETAIL_PRO guard. Pro kits below firmware 11.00 are now rejected before the loader selects an offset table, making the unsupported case explicit. The project records that its Pro tables use retail 16 GB images; values from 32 GB development kits are not used for Pro support.
What the new offsets enable
The loader is part of the ps5-linux project, which uses patched hypervisor vulnerabilities and payload loading to start Linux on supported PS5 hardware. Its firmware-specific offset data supports operations such as dumping the PS5 Pro GPU firmware. In practical terms, the new tables target Pro users on the listed firmware versions who previously lacked the required offset coverage.
The release notes say the offsets for firmware 11.00 through 11.60, 12.00 through 12.70, and 13.40 and 13.42 were derived from decrypted retail kernels. They were also cross-checked byte for byte against development-kit kernels, with identical code reported at every relevant FUN_* and GAD_* offset. That cross-check supports the table data, but it is not the same as confirming a complete hardware boot on every affected firmware version.
13.60 Pro verification and remaining qualification
The project reports hardware verification on a PS5 Pro running firmware 13.60. In that test, the console was placed into standby, resumed into Linux, identified the processor as AMD Custom Zen 2 (Viola), and produced eight viola_*.bin GPU firmware dump files. This is the release’s stated Pro hardware verification point.
Hardware boot on the firmware ranges covered by the newly derived tables has not yet been tested, according to the release notes. Users should therefore distinguish the reported 13.60 Pro verification from the kernel comparison work covering 11.00 through 13.42. The new offsets broaden the loader’s intended support, but the project has not claimed equivalent hardware validation for every newly covered version.
Project background and supported hardware
ps5-linux is designed to turn supported PS5 Phat, Slim and Pro consoles into Linux systems. The project README lists firmware support from 3.00 through 13.60, with the exact versions varying by console model. For PS5 Pro, the documented list includes 11.00, 11.20, 11.40, 11.60, 12.00, 12.02, 12.20, 12.40, 12.60, 12.70, 13.20, 13.40, 13.42 and 13.60. Firmware 14.00 and later is not listed as supported.
When running Linux, the project documents 4K60 HDMI video and audio, USB peripherals, Ethernet, Bluetooth support through supported hardware, M.2 storage for a dedicated Linux installation, and hardware video processing through VAAPI. The README also describes desktop software, Steam games and emulators. These broader capabilities belong to the ps5-linux environment; this release specifically updates the ps5-linux-loader’s PS5 Pro firmware-offset data.
Release details
The build is tagged v2026.11.03-all10-13-pro and was published on November 3, 2026. It includes the ELF asset ps5-linux-loader-all10-13-20261103-pro.elf. The release notes say it was built with the current ps5-payload-dev SDK.
The published SHA-256 checksum is 03a8f761e1ef8a4702be0818b55b9dc37361e3c4d515bc52fd59e19c2b130d49. Users can compare the checksum with their downloaded asset when verifying that they have the intended build.
