What’s Final Fantasy Resonance about?
Final Fantasy Resonance returns to a pixel-art fantasy setting shaped by crystals, kingdoms, and companions bound together by fate. Its role-playing adventure follows Rain, commander of an airship squadron, and Lasswell, his childhood friend and deputy commander. After receiving a royal order to investigate a weakening magical barrier at the Earth Shrine, the pair discover a mysterious black-armored warrior and witness the destruction of the Earth Crystal. Their defeat, the loss of their comrades, and the wrecking of their airship set them on a much larger quest.
The journey combines exploration with turn-based role-playing adventure elements and the use of Visions in battle. These summoned allies aid the heroes as they investigate the force threatening to bring the world to ruin. The story begins with a kingdom that appears protected by crystal power, then quickly expands into a tale of shattered defenses, hidden enemies, and survival after catastrophe. Its pixel-art presentation connects the game to classic Final Fantasy aesthetics while supporting a new crisis and a fresh party-driven narrative.
