About this set
2025/26 Topps Chrome Update Series Basketball Sapphire Edition keeps the Chrome identity front and center: chromium finish, Refractor-style collecting, and a Sapphire treatment that points this release toward color-focused parallels and autograph chasing. The confirmed autograph themes include Topps Chrome Autographs, Havoc Marks, 1980-81 Autographs, and Future Stars Autographs, with Sapphire variants reaching from Green Sapphire to Padparadscha 1 of 1.
Sapphire chrome character
This release sits inside the longer Topps Chrome line, which began in 1996 and has built its collecting identity around metallic chromium surfaces and Refractor parallels. In this basketball update format, the Sapphire edition signals a cleaner, color-led chase that collectors can approach as a variation on the Chrome theme rather than as a separate brand.
Autograph and insert focus
The confirmed names to watch are Topps Chrome Autographs, Havoc Marks, 1980-81 Autographs, and Future Stars Autographs, all noted in Sapphire variants. That gives collectors a straightforward choice: chase autograph themes tied to the Chrome Update Series structure, or focus more narrowly on Sapphire color layers, with Green Sapphire through Padparadscha 1 of 1 marking the edge of the parallel spectrum.
