About this set
2023-24 Topps NBL Basketball focuses on Australia’s National Basketball League and keeps the collecting scope compact with a 100-card base set. The confirmed parallel structure gives the checklist a straightforward chase path, led by Opal and followed by numbered Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Red (/5), and Sun Ray 1/1 versions.
Compact league focus
This release is built around the Australian NBL rather than the larger NBA market, so its appeal comes from coverage of a different pro basketball stage. The smaller team pool leaves the set with a contained checklist and a more specific collecting identity. For collectors who like league-specific issues, that focus can be the main draw.
Because the base set is only 100 cards, the set should feel manageable for collectors who prefer a smaller checklist. That can make team and player collecting more approachable than in many larger modern basketball releases.
Parallels to target
The confirmed parallel ladder is clear: Opal, Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Red (/5), and Sun Ray (1/1). That range gives collectors several ways to approach the set, from simple team runs to short-print and one-of-one chases.
A practical way to build this release is to decide early whether you want a broad base-set run or a narrower pursuit of your favorite club, player, or parallel color. The limited checklist and defined parallel tiers make it easy to keep the collection focused.
