About the movie
Characters: Diondre Howell, a late-20s Iraq War veteran; his mother Zoe; and Fatimah Danel, an Ethiopian immigrant and survivor of abuse. Situation: Diondre lives with undiagnosed PTSD, clings to strict routines, and is denied VA treatment because of his military discharge. Central conflict: his inability to adjust to civilian life fractures family ties and relationships and drives a deepening spiral that culminates in a tragic finale tied to the 2009 Fort Hood shooting.
