About the movie
Characters: Vidar Haarr, a 33-year-old bachelor farmer; his mother; and the Lord to whom he prays. Situation: Vidar lives a monotonous, strenuous Christian life on his mother’s farm near Western Norway and feels sexually frustrated and trapped. Central conflict: desperate for freedom, he asks God for a life without boundaries and instead awakens transformed into the Prince of Darkness. The story follows his abrupt, supernatural reversal from constrained rural bachelor to a demonic ruler after that single prayer.
