About the movie
Stephen Seary, a charismatic and successful stage designer, must return to his small Australian hometown to say goodbye to his dying mother while attempting to get back to Europe for a major opera contract. A trip meant to be brief becomes entangled with family responsibilities, a strained relationship with his father, and encounters with old friends and past lovers. He struggles to reconcile duty at home with his career obligations abroad.
