About the movie
Simon, an early-30s filmmaker, shares a New York City apartment with his best friend and roommate Bruce, who works for an airline. Because Bruce treats him as his dedicated “travel companion,” Simon can fly standby for free whenever he wants. He uses those trips to assemble a sprawling, unfinished documentary about humanity that he cannot yet clearly describe. The central struggle is finding the film’s shape and meaning in the edit.
