About the movie
Characters: a Moscow writer, the Devil, and corrupt bureaucrats. In 1930s Moscow the writer, driven from official favor by state censorship, composes a new novel in which the Devil appears and upends the lives of the officials who persecuted him. The film follows those intertwined storylines and is based on the novel by Kyiv-born author Mikhail Bulgakov.
