About the movie
Characters: Emma, a young carer hired as a night nurse, and her patient, the ailing Mr Cunningham; situation: Emma arrives at a secluded English countryside house for her first shift; central conflict: a mounting sense of dread and a growing supernatural presence trap her between fleeing and staying to care for the old man. Alone with the silent patient through the night, Emma’s unease escalates into terror as strange signs multiply.
