About the movie
Characters: a company of volunteer soldiers sent by the US Army in winter 1862 during the Civil War; situation: ordered to patrol the uncharted borderlands of the western territories; central conflict: their mission changes course and the meaning of their engagement begins to elude them. In winter 1862 the Army dispatches that company to the western territories to patrol uncharted borderlands. As their assignment shifts, the soldiers find the purpose of their duty slipping out of reach.
