About the movie
Characters: Claudia, a woman in her twenties who works as a product demonstrator and has been on her own her whole life, and Martha, an HIV-positive matriarch and mother of four admitted to hospital for appendicitis. Situation: Claudia meets the ailing Martha in the hospital and they quickly form a bond. Central conflict: Martha’s health deteriorates; after Martha invites Claudia to live with her family, Claudia must navigate becoming part of the household while Martha grows sicker, and her ties to Martha’s children deepen, giving new meaning to her life.
