About the movie
Characters: Riz, a recent immigrant and former gang member; Una, the formidable motel owner (Cynthia Nixon); Jimmy, Una’s drug-selling son; and Dallas, a bold runaway who rooms with Riz. Riz is working at Una’s motel to start over while Jimmy sells drugs on the property and Dallas blackmails Riz, sparking a series of violent events that entangle the four. Desperate to escape the motel and the crime they’ve helped create, Riz and Dallas hatch a last-ditch plan to rob Una.
