About the movie

Ten-year-old Annie Shearer, a shy, inventive girl in Upson Downs, adopts a stray dog named Runt and plans to save her family’s farm after a greedy local landlord threatens it. Runt’s remarkable speed and agility make him a contender for the top cash prize at a London dog show, but he obeys Annie only when no one else is watching. Annie must marshal the unique talents of her family to get Runt to perform and win the prize that will rescue their farm.
