About the movie
Characters: hostage negotiator Alan Bender, the president, and Bender’s wife; situation: the president is kidnapped; central conflict: Bender must save the president while also mediating to protect his wife and his marriage. Called to resolve the presidential abduction, Alan finds the emergency entangled with his personal life. He must negotiate the leader’s release and simultaneously work to salvage his wife and their marriage.
