About the movie
Characters: Naru, a lone camerawoman at Kabul’s main TV station; her 3-year-old son; her serially cheating husband; and Qodrat, the station’s leading journalist. Situation: Afghanistan in 2021, shortly before the Taliban’s return, with Naru fighting to keep custody of her child. Naru, convinced no good men exist after leaving her husband, accepts a career opportunity from Qodrat; as they criss-cross Kabul reporting on its final days of freedom, a growing attraction forces her to reconsider her belief.
