About the movie
Characters include Steven Bay (Aaron Eckhart), local woman Gretchen (Emmanuelle Chriqui), and the ousted ex-cop Jonathan Locke whose crimes are referenced. The situation: a lethal government experiment gone wrong has left Bay a farm laborer with amnesia, recurring dreams of dying violently, hidden surveillance cameras in his house, and an inability to fight back during a tense bar encounter on a date with Gretchen. The central conflict is Bay’s struggle to reconcile his lost past—he bears a striking resemblance to imprisoned killer Jonathan Locke—and the danger that will follow if he remembers who he used to be.
