About the movie
Characters: retired general Enrique, his haughty wife, conflicted daughter, precocious granddaughter, loyal housekeeper Valeriana, a mysterious young Indigenous maid, much of the domestic staff, and a horde of angry protestors. Enrique, accused of a genocidal massacre of thousands of Mayans, finally faces trial as protesters threaten the family’s opulent home. The women must decide whether to shield the erratic, senile Enrique from publicly revealed truths while an apparent wrathful supernatural force seems to target them for his crimes. Most servants flee, leaving only Valeriana until the new maid arrives.
