About the movie
Characters: Charlie, her husband, his family, and the deceased mother-in-law. Situation: Charlie is visiting her husband’s family for the holidays while they struggle to find joy after the mother-in-law’s death. Central conflict: Charlie writes a list of rules and passes them off as the mother’s to bring everyone together, but her deception begins to unravel. Hoping to rekindle their festive spirit, she stages the mother’s guidance during the lead-up to Christmas, forcing the family to face grief and the consequences of her scheme.
