About the movie
Characters: a determined hen (portrayed by eight real Hungarian chickens — Eszti, Szandi, Feri, Enci, Eti, Enikő, Nóra, and Anett), an elderly restaurant owner played by Yannis Kokiasmenos, his daughter, and her criminal boyfriend. The hen escapes a brutal industrial farm to find a safe place for her chicks but encounters human cruelty and predation along the way. She ends up in a lacklustre Greek seaside restaurant where the proprietor captures her while living under the yoke of his daughter’s criminal partner; amid competing human and chicken hierarchies she witnesses petty theft and predatory figures tied to the migrant crisis.
