About the movie
Characters: Haru, Luis, Haru’s friends, and a new dance instructor. Situation: Haru and Luis are rivals in Tokyo’s ballroom circuit; after a tragedy Haru retreats from dancing until friends coax her back. Central conflict: Haru develops an infatuation with the new instructor and must confront what follows as sparks ignite.
Haru, once a fierce competitor alongside Luis in Tokyo’s ballroom scene, withdraws into isolation after a tragic event; friends persuade her to return to the studio. Back in dance, she becomes drawn to the new instructor and must decide how to handle the sudden, complicating attraction.
