About the movie
Characters: a scientist obsessed with humankind’s next evolution; an android chasing one warm memory; a fighter caught in a rigged game; and a jaded aristocrat desperate to experience awe one last time. Situation: the Second Cycle of Humanity, where consciousness can be transferred between bodies, memory can be bought and sold, and death is no longer final. Central conflict: their lives and choices are framed by an ancient, omniscient AI and complicated by a street preacher who rages against technology overwriting our humanity. The film unfolds four interrelated short stories that examine personal struggles with transferable consciousness, commodified memory, and manufactured immortality.
