About the movie
Characters: Em, a junior lawyer in Sydney, and Jessie, a former stripper who has travelled the world and recently ended a long-term relationship. Situation and central conflict: Em struggles to pay ludicrously high rent while facing workplace harassment and burnout, and the pair’s reunion in Melbourne tests both their situations. On a trip to Melbourne they reconnect, and what begins as a simple reunion quickly turns into a whirlwind weekend that brings Em’s financial and emotional strain into conflict with Jessie’s recent breakup.
