About the movie
Characters: a cantankerous small‑town plumber from rural New Brunswick, his estranged gay brother, and their hard‑nosed mother. Situation: in the winter of 1970 the plumber must drive his beat‑up work truck roughly 1,000 miles to Toronto to free his brother after an arrest for having sex in a public park. Central conflict: their mother forces the two men to return together to New Brunswick, setting up a tense, potentially violent road trip. Inspired by a true story.
