About the movie
Characters: Aya, a young Ivorian woman in her early thirties, and Cai, a 45-year-old Chinese man. Aya shocks everyone by refusing to marry on her wedding day and later emigrates to China, where she works in a tea export shop alongside Cai. The two fall in love, but their relationship is tested by the turmoil of their pasts and by other people’s prejudices.
