About the movie
Marie-Lou, director of an elderly care facility, confronts resistance from part of her staff as she tries to introduce an innovative care philosophy focused on listening and respecting residents’ dignity. She meets Mari, a Japanese theater director who is battling cancer, and the encounter alters Marie-Lou’s course. The two form a deep, supportive friendship and join forces to challenge opposition and pursue changed care practices.
