About the movie
Characters: Brooks Caldwell (Cary Elwes), an erudite, handsome lawyer; his wife Amanda (Terri Polo), a beautiful socialite and timber heiress; and Brooks’ latest fling (Agnes Bruckner). Situation: Brooks’ professional standing and lifestyle rest on his marriage, but he feels under-appreciated and pursues extramarital affairs. Central conflict: Amanda discovers the philandering and devises a plan to ruin him. Brooks departs for a weekend with the latest squeeze, after which his life rapidly unravels into a bizarre, nightmarish downward spiral that culminates in chaos.
