Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve combines arcade-style aerial action with the drama of a military simulator. You play a fighter pilot rescued by the aging aircraft carrier Endurance after the Federation of Central Usea is overwhelmed by an invasion from the Republic of Sotoa. With the FCU’s forces scattered and refugees filling the ship, you inherit the name “Wings of Theve,” a legendary ace identity created to preserve hope.
The campaign follows your attempt to reclaim your homeland alongside three new comrades. Missions place you in intense air battles, where powerful weapons and demanding objectives define each sortie. The story also emphasizes difficult choices, squad relationships, and the burden of living up to a symbol that was never truly yours.
